How is LNG produced?
Transforming shale gas into LNG allows it to be shipped worldwide. The process involves cooling the gas to -260°F so it becomes liquid and can be transported efficiently.
The last US shale sector crash:
The shale sector experienced a significant crisis primarily between 2014 and 2016 due to a sharp drop in oil prices. This downturn, one of the largest in modern history, was triggered by factors like a supply glut, booming U.S. shale oil production, and shifting OPEC policies. The 2014-2016 crash was one of the three biggest declines since World War II and the longest lasting supply-driven collapse since 1986.

(Side note: China the world's largest LNG importer has suspended all LNG imports from the US since early February 2025. Chinese companies contracted to buy US LNG, have begun reselling LNG to other destinations, including Europe and Southeast Asia, to avoid tariff penalties. China is increase import from Australia, Middle East and Russia to meet its LNG demand.)

Xi and Trump's are relieved for different reasons:
Trump: " Thank god, Xi answered my call."
Xi: " hopefully I won't be bother by Trump for a while now."
Not much could be discussed in hour and half:
