The Chinese Foreign Ministry hosted the Lanting (Orchid) Forum on October 27, 2025, where Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi delivered a speech on implementing the Global Governance Initiative.
Foreign Ministry statement:
Today’s Lanting Forum on Improving Global Governance to Build a Community with a Shared Future for Humanity aims at exploring ways to improve global governance, effectively tackling global challenges, expanding consensus on solidarity and cooperation and pooling strength for implementing the GGI. The Forum gathered over 300 participants, including heads of international organizations, former political leaders, diplomatic envoys and representatives of international and regional organizations in China, renowned experts and scholars and media representatives, which fully demonstrates the impact and appeal of the GGI.
Foreign Minister Wang Yi attended the Lanting Forum and delivered a speech entitled “Implementing the Global Governance Initiative for a Community with a Shared Future for Humanity.” He elaborated on the significance of the GGI and stressed that the initiative responds to the needs of the world and wishes of the people. Together with the Global Development Initiative (GDI), the Global Security Initiative (GSI) and the Global Civilization Initiative (GCI), it promises much needed stability and provides certainty for this volatile world. The most unequivocal message from the GGI is a call for stronger solidarity. The GGI represents a most powerful statement of multilateralism. The most desired vision of the GGI is a future of fairness.
Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated that China is ready to work with all parties to put the GGI into action. We will engage consistently in equal consultation, listen to different views, and take useful advice with an open mind to build maximum consensus. We will base our creativity on past achievement, and make timely changes to reform and improve, rather than replace, the current international system. We will promote global governance reform with gradual and sustained effort to make it beneficial to the whole world.
Foreign Minister Wang Yi shared the actions to be taken by China in implementing the GGI. He stressed that we should jointly uphold the authority and status of the U.N. to cement the foundation of global governance. We should work together to advance common development to enhance the efficacy of global governance. We should stand together to tackle pressing challenges and shore up the weak links in global governance. We should actively respond to the aspirations of the Global South and improve the global governance architecture. We should fully leverage the roles of diverse stakeholders and pool strength for global governance.
We stand ready to work with the international community, fully deliver the Global Governance Initiative, build a more just and equitable global governance system, and jointly usher in a brighter tomorrow for humanity.

AMSTERDAM, Oct 27 (Reuters) - The Netherlands' decision to take control of chipmaker Nexperia in September was due to fears the company's former CEO was already dismantling the company's European operations and moving production to China, four sources in The Hague familiar with the government's thinking said on Monday.
The Dutchy provides no proven evidence, if its aim is to steal Nexperia's european operation from China, they now got what they want:
Before the daylight robbery, 70% of Nexperia's chips production was already in China. Now the Dutchy just up it to 100%.
Is the Dutchy helping US in its effort to weaken EU/Japanese automakers competitiveness in the shrinking non electric car markets?

**A spokesperson for the Chinese embassy said: “The Chinese government purchased in 2018 the former site of the Royal Mint Court, London for the use as the new Chinese embassy premises. The UK government had given its consent to this.
“The UK has shown a total lack of the spirit of contract, credibility and ethics, and has repeatedly put off the approval of the project citing various excuses ... Both China and the UK have plans to build new embassies in each other’s capitals, and both sides should facilitate each other’s efforts.”**
