US government shut down has become a regular event, what is special this time round is that it is lasting a bit longer this year, breaking the previous government shutdown record happened during Donald Trump's first term as president and lasted 35 days before it ended in 2019.
(Side note: not all negative, for the Americans, when the current shutdown is over, they don't have to wait long for the next shut down to come along. More historic record awaits, another shutdown record is highly likely if Trump gets elected for the 3rd term. )
