Knowing US is pulling out all the stops (dirty tricks) to take over control of TSMC, China is working hard to by pass TSMC or even makes it irrelevant to China.
(Side note: TSMC manufactures over 90% of the world's most advanced semiconductors, its expertise in high-tech chip fabrication is currently beyond the capabilities of most other companies. With the help of the Taiwanese government and a very pro US company mindset, TSMC falling into US hands is just a mater of time.)

Japan is in debt crisis and currency crisis, to make matter worse, its now at the beginning of a China crisis.
- Japan's government debt is at a record level, with its debt-to-GDP ratio reaching approximately 230-236% in October 2025. This record is driven by high spending, including a new fiscal 2025 budget of ¥115.5 trillion (over $750 billion) which includes a record sum for debt servicing costs, and a significant stimulus package from Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi. As a result, super-long government bond yields have also hit record highs as investors anticipate further spending.
- Japan has in recent days committed to significant additional government borrowing to finance a new ¥21tn ($135bn) stimulus package aimed at fighting inflation and supporting its economy. This is adding to its already high public debt, which is the largest in the industrial world at over 250% of GDP.

World's largest Hualong One nuclear power project at Zhangzhou province in China.
A total of six Hualong One units are planned for the site upon full completion. Each "Hualong One" reactor unit is able to generate more than 10 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity per year, which can meet the annual electricity needs of 1 million people in a moderately developed economy. This is equivalent to cutting annual coal consumption of 3.12 million tons and carbon dioxide emissions of 8.16 million tons per year.
- Unit 1 officially began commercial operation on January 1, 2025, after being connected to the grid in November 2024.
- Unit 2 was successfully connected to the national grid for the first time in November 2025, but is not yet in commercial operation, which is expected by the end of 2025.
- Units 3 and 4 are currently under construction.
