China cold shouldering Japan continues:
- According to reports from Hong Kong 01 during the G20 summit in South Africa, Chinese Premier Li Qiang was absent from his seat during Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi's speech on November 23.
- China has rejected Japan’s proposal to hold a trilateral leaders’ summit in January 2026. Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning confirmed on Monday that there was no agreement on when to hold meeting between the three countries’ leaders.

BEIJING, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday clarified China's principled position on the Taiwan issue in a telephone call with his U.S. counterpart, Donald Trump.
