China is carving new ways to compete with Nvidia.

Architecture and packaging techniques like 3D hybrid bonding;
China claims a new domestically designed AI processor, using 14nm logic and 18nm DRAM with advanced packaging, can rival Nvidia's 4nm chips in performance. The chip reportedly achieves 120 TFLOPS, with a power efficiency of 2 TFLOPS per watt, surpassing Nvidia's A100 GPU on paper. This breakthrough relies on architecture and packaging techniques like 3D hybrid bonding, which stacks chips to improve performance and reduce latency, rather than just competing on the size of the manufacturing node.

Application-specific AI chips.
China is developing application-specific AI chips through various approaches, including advanced analog chips for scientific computing, photonic quantum chips for high-speed data centers, and traditional digital processors like Baidu's M300 chips.

  • Peking University: Developed a super-fast analog chip using resistive materials that is designed for scientific computing and AI tasks, potentially operating much faster than digital processors for certain problems.
  • Chip X and Touring Quantum: Developed a quantum photonic chip designed for industrial-grade use in data centers. It claims a thousandfold speed increase for specific AI workloads compared to Nvidia GPUs by using light for computation.
  • Baidu: Has been developing its own chips since 2011 and has announced new processors, such as the M300 (expected in 2027), and "supernode" products that link multiple chips together.
  • Huawei: Developed the CloudMatrix 384, a supernode product using its Ascend 910C chips, which some observers believe is more powerful than Nvidia's GB200 NVL72.
  • T-Head: Announced the Hanguang 800 chip in 2019, an efficient chip for AI inference capable of processing 78,000 images per second.

(Side note: Looking ahead, there is no way can the super expensive "general purpose Nvidia chip sets" compete against the more "cost effeicent Application Specific chip sets".
China is capable of chip stacking 14nm now, what will happen to Nvidia when China successfully chip stacking 7nm, 5nm, 3nm, 2nm and 1nm?)

IMHO, Nvidia has the first move advantage, but, China's approach is most likely proven to be the eventual winner.

Chapter 7: The Media

Media Manipulation: The Silent Puppeteer of the American Psyche.

Ever feel like the stories you see and hear are crafted more for theater than truth? That there's a script behind the "breaking news"?

In this incendiary chapter, we pull back the curtain on the media's metamorphosis from its role as the "Fourth Estate" - a watchdog of democracy - to its current avatar as a powerful player with vested interests and hidden agendas.

Dive deep into the murky waters of media evolution, from objective reporting to sensationalism, from public service to profit-driven enterprises.

Unearth the tactical maneuvering of media platforms that, under the guise of delivering news, often serve tailored narratives designed to sway, to incite, and sometimes, to mislead blatantly.

In December 2024, under the watchful eyes of Donald Trump, Masayoshi Son, SoftBank’s CEO announced its plan to invest $100bn in US Ai projects.

In October 2025, SoftBank sold its entire stake in Nvidia for $5.83 billion and part of its stake in T-Mobile for $9.17 billion, to fund the project black hole.

At this rate, will Softbank still exist in few years time?

The big Ai bubble: the Bank of England and the IMF have joined a chorus of experts, including economists Ruchir Sharma and Michael Burry, and Google CEO Sundar Pichai, warning of "elements of irrationality" and the risk of a potential.
