Why China will fight a war for N Korea but not Iran?
As far as China is concern, Iran is no North Korea.
North Korea is protected by China/N Korea defence treaty :
China and North Korea are bound by the 1961 defence Treaty signed in 1961 and was automatically renewed in 2021, the treaty mandates that if one party faces an armed attack, the other will provide military and other assistance.
This is one major reason (the other is Korea is a nuclear power) why USA is happy to attack Iran, but, dare not attack North Korea
What's more, China is skeptical of Iran's "hegemonic ambitions in the region.
