Farmers in US vs farmers in China, who are better off?
China helps its farmers through a combination of financial support, technological advancements, and rural infrastructure development. The government provides direct subsidies, offers financial incentives like credit and loans, and invests heavily in "smart farming" technologies such as automated machinery and data-driven sensors to increase efficiency and income. Additionally, it works to improve infrastructure, provides training, and promotes e-commerce to help farmers connect with markets.
Chinese government really cares about its farmers:
The government is pushing for a "digital village" initiative to improve internet and information technology access in rural areas.
Major e-commerce platforms like Alibaba, JD.com, and Pinduoduo provide training to help farmers sell their products online.
There is a strong focus on improving rural infrastructure, including roads, water supply, and sanitation facilities.

One in nine Britons and a similar proportion of workers have skipped meals in the last three months because they couldn't afford them.
US workers arn'r any better: US workers can't afford lunches due to rising inflation and stagnant wages, which have dramatically increased the cost of eating out and even fast food. This has led many to skip meals or work through lunch, while fast food workers, in particular, may struggle to afford the very meals they serve.

Is it a tech race against time?
Knowing US is pulling out all the stops (dirty tricks) to take over control of TSMC, China is working hard to by pass TSMC or even makes it irrelevant to China.
(Side note: TSMC manufactures over 90% of the world's most advanced semiconductors, its expertise in high-tech chip fabrication is currently beyond the capabilities of most other companies. With the help of the Taiwanese government and a very pro US company mindset, TSMC falling into US hands is just a mater of time.)
